Diamond D’s fleet includes four unique Komatsu CD110 rubber-tracked dump trucks. There are very few CD110s operating in the western United States. In fact, Diamond D has the largest fleet in the western United States. CD110s are unique because they exert pressure on the ground of less than 7 pounds per square inch (PSI) at full capacity, carrying a 12-ton load. In addition, their operator housing and dump beds rotate 360 degrees over their tracks, allowing vehicle operators to safely dump loads where they want and change direction completely without any backing up or three- point turning. Additionally, the CD110 is capable of operating on slopes of more than 30%. With its low ground pressure and 360-degree rotation, the CD110 is the dump truck of choice for hauling materials in sensitive wetland areas and limited access situations, such as if earth needed to be hauled to fill a breach at the end of a long, narrow levee.
