Diamond D integrates innovative approaches, specialized equipment and sound planning to build projects that protect and enhance the environment, such as in sensitive stream zone and wetland habitats. We have constructed wetlands for the Red-Legged Frog , created fish habitats, eradicated non-native invasive plants and restored native vegetation to disturbed areas.
Our fleet includes a full line of low-ground-pressure equipment that is specifically suited for highly sensitive environments. Diamond D is the only contractor with a full fleet of Komatsu CD110 crawler carriers, low-ground-pressure, rubber-tracked dump trucks that are capable of hauling materials in sensitive wetland or steam zone habitats with minimal rutting or compaction. Other equipment that minimize impacts to sensitive habitats include low-ground-pressure excavators, long-reach excavators, silt-fencing machines, rubber-tracked skid steers, turbidity monitoring equipment and many others.
Prior to construction Diamond D’s staff works with owners and resource agencies to develop sequencing plans and storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs) to reduce impacts to the environment.
