Diamond D specializes in the construction and reconstruction of earthen dams, roadways, highways, levees, wastewater treatment ponds, detention basins and waterways for public works, industrial and agricultural clients. Diamond D utilizes innovative approaches to overcome challenging excavation projects. For example we use the Komatsu CD110 carrier, which has a 360-degree rotating dump bed and housing for easy access to even the most restricted sites. Diamond D was the first contractor on the west coast to acquire this rubber-tracked machine, which is also well suited to working in sensitive wetlands and stream zones because it exerts less than 7 pounds per square inch (PSI) when hauling a 12-ton load. In addition, it can operate on slopes of more than 30 degrees.
